Warriors Acquire Forward Avenir Belous from Wilderness

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - The Oklahoma Warriors, proud members of the North American Hockey League, announced Wednesday the acquisition of Alvenir Belous from the Minnesota Wilderness in exchange for one 2026 tender and a conditional 2027 fourth-round draft pick
Belous, 18, joined the Wilderness late last season after wrapping up his high school career with Rogers High.
"We are excited to have acquired Avenir from the Wilderness," Head Coach Eric Ballard said. "Avenir will add speed and skill, and we feel he will be a great addition to the Warriors."
The 5-foot-11 forward logged 18 goals and 23 assists with Rogers High before adding one assist in four games to his season totals with the Minnesota Wilderness.
In the 2024-25 season, the Rogers, Minnesota native registered 11 goals and 14 assists in 30 games with Rogers High.
Belous joins Jeremy Sprung, Olivier Laverdiere, Carson Steinhoff and Luke VanderRoest as players acquired via trade in the Eric Ballard era of Warriors hockey.
The Warriors begin the 2026-27 campaign at home on Friday, Sept. 18 against the New Mexico Ice Wolves. Puck drop from Blazers Ice Centre is set for 7 p.m. CST.
