VSI Tampa Bay FC News Release

Tampa, Fla - Chad Burt blasts one past Phoenix FC Sunday evening and helps earn VSI Tampa Bay FC three points in Plant City Stadium.

The game remained scoreless through the first half with VSI Tampa Bay FC playing down a man a majority of the second half due to the ejection of VSI keeper Alex Horwath. Horwath was sent off for denying a goal scoring opportunity by fouling one of Phoenix's players.

Phoenix FC Wolves were awarded a penalty kick that Wolves' forward Darren Mackie launched into the lake giving VSI's, almost famous, Canoe Crew an opportunity to retrieve the ball from the lake.

Nearly ten minutes later VSI Tampa Bay FC's Tony Donatelli delivered a ball into the feet of Chad Burt. Burt sent a shot past Phoenix's keeper Andrew Weber. Burt's goal supplied VSI the win.
