Wichita Falls Wildcats News Release
WICHITA FALLS, Texas - After a strong week on the ice, Wildcats forward Will Vosejpka was named the North American Hockey League's South Division Star of the Week in the Easton Divisional Stars of the Week.
Vosejpka posted at least one point in all three Wildcats games last week, recording a goal and four assists in those contests. He was credited with the game-winning goal in Wednesday's game against the Lone Star Brahmas, and had the primary assist on the eventual game-winning tally in Friday's 5-2 win over the Corpus Christi IceRays.
The strong week is part of a month-long hot streak for the Midland, Mich.-native, who is committed to the Air Force Academy for the 2014-15 season. In 11 games played during November, Vosejpka has five goals and four assists and is a plus-6. For the season, he has compiled a 9-8-17 line in 27 games.
Vosejpka is the third Wildcats player to earn Star of the Week recognition, joining goaltender Chase Munroe and forward Jordan Jancze.
The Wildcats return to the ice this weekend when they travel to Rio Grande Valley to take on the Killer Bees on Friday and Saturday.
