
Volcanoes Sign Returning IBL All-Star

The Vancouver Volcanoes-a second year professional basketball team from the International Basketball League-signed their 7th player for the 2006 season. 6' 5" 190 pound guard Kevin 'Pip' Bloodsaw
League commissioner Mikal Duilio-"Pip had an interesting story because he was the team's twelfth man, but he fought hard in games and won a starting spot by the third game of a tough Michigan road trip, and by the end of the season-was an IBL All Star selection". Pip's high game was 44 points against Central Oregon at the tail end of the season; he played 48 minutes in that game. Pip is known for his defensive abilities, particularly his ability to steal the ball.
"I fit in best with the Volcanoes" said Kevin Bloodsaw when asked why he chose Vancouver.
The Vancouver Volcanoes open their season against the Portland Chinooks on Sunday March 12th at 1:30pm at the Rose Garden in Portland.
