Amarillo, TX 07/24/2012 Amarillo Venom LSFL Champions! Last Saturday Amarillo Venom traveled to San Angelo to take on the Rio Grande Magic for the LSFL Championship. Venom fell to Rio Grande two times during the regular season; however they were determined to come out with a win in San Angelo. The Venom conquered the Rio Grande Magic with a 62-40 win and achieved the title of LSFL Champions.

All of the Venom players, coaches, and staff are ecstatic about the win. This season could not have turned out better for the Venom. The last time the Venom won a championship was in 2004 with now Head Coach Julian Reese at Quarterback. Coach Resse won the Champoinship as a player his first year to play and has now won a championship as Coach during his first Coaching year for the Venom.

Raymond Johnson was named MVP of the Championship game. Johnson played an outstanding game including a touchdown pass which he caught while tumbling over the end zone wall. Coach Julian Reese could not be happier with the performance of these athletes and is honored to have them as a part of the Amarillo Venom.
