Vaclav Karabacek Recalled to Americans

ELMIRA, N.Y. - December 14, 2016 - The Elmira Jackals, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Buffalo Sabres and the AHL's Rochester Americans, proudly celebrating our 10th season in the ECHL, announced today that forward Vaclav Karabacek has been recalled to the Americans .
Karabacek, 20, was excellent in nine games with the Jackals to begin his professional career . A second-round selection (49th overall) of the Buffalo Sabres in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, Karabacek posted 11 points (5g, 6a) in nine games with the Jackals, placing him third overall on the team.

The Praha, Czech Republic native was named Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week for Nov. 28-Dec. 4 after producing six points (3g, 3a) and a +5 rating in three games. He scored his first professional goal Dec. 30 vs. Kalamazoo.
Karabacek had points in six of the nine games he played with the Jackals, leading Elmira to a 4-3-2-0 record since he was reassigned to the Jackals from the Amerks Nov. 25.
