USHL Releases 30-Man Rosters for Member Clubs

Chicago, Ill. - The United States Hockey League (USHL) and its 16 Member Clubs announced Wednesday the 30-man protected rosters for each Member Club ahead of the start of training camps later this week.

The 2021-22 USHL season will begin Thursday, Sept. 23 at the DICK'S Sporting Goods USHL Fall Classic in Cranberry Township, Penn. The Fall Classic will feature all 16 Clubs playing a pair of games each to commence the regular season.

Member clubs must make necessary drops to get to their 25-man protected list by Sept. 20 at 12 PM CT to the league office, as well as USA Hockey, ahead of the start of the 2021-22 USHL regular season at the DICK'S Sporting Goods USHL Fall Classic. 25-man protected lists must adhere to regular season roster regulations, which include:

Teams must carry a minimum of three U18 players (2004 or 2005 birth years) on their active roster at all times.

Teams must carry at least two goaltenders on their active roster at all times.

Teams cannot carry more than five 20-year-olds on their active roster at a time, which must be reduced to four by the third weekend of the regular season. American born 20-year-old goalies do not count towards the 20-year-old player limit.

Teams cannot carry more than four import players on their roster at one time.

A team is permitted to carry up to two Canadian import skaters (non-goaltenders) that will not count towards the aforementioned four import player limit.

Beginning Sept. 21 at 12 PM CT, all roster moves will count towards the annual roster move limit.
