USHL Eastern Conference Final Schedule Announced

Chicago, IL - The United States Hockey League today announced the schedule for the Eastern Conference Final series between the Green Bay Gamblers and Indiana Ice. The best-of-series begins on Thursday, May 3rd at the Resch Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

The Anderson Cup champion Green Bay Gamblers, and top seed in the playoffs, advanced to the Eastern Conference Final after defeating the Youngstown Phantoms three games to one in their best-of-five semifinal series. The Indiana Ice swept the defending Clark Cup champion Dubuque Fighting Saints in three games to advance to the next round.

During the regular season, the Gamblers (98 points) and Ice (81 points) finished as the top two teams in the overall USHL standings. They were also the two highest scoring teams in the USHL as Green Bay led the League with 250 goals and Indiana scored 221 times. They met eight times during the regular season with Green Bay capturing five victories. Four of the meetings were decided by a single goal, including three overtime games. Of the eight regular season meetings, the home team won just once - a 6-2 win by Green Bay on January 29th.

The winner of the Green Bay vs. Indiana series will move on to the Clark Cup Final series against the winner of the Western Conference playoff bracket.
