USFL To Provide Players & Staff Tuition-free, Debt-free College Degree Program

Los Angeles - The USFL, the new professional soccer league launched in April 2022, is partnering with Strategic Education, Inc. (NASDAQ:STRA), a leading online education company, to provide lessons for players and league staff. Free, debt-free undergraduate degree program.

USFL players and employees can enroll at Strayer University and Capella University in Strategic Education, both institutionally accredited universities that support engaged working adults in achieving their academic goals. Staff and players will be able to take tuition-free courses online through Capella University or online and in person at Strayer University, giving them the flexibility to pursue associate's, bachelor's, or master's degrees in business, healthcare, information technology, and education, among others.

The USFL will launch in April with eight teams split into two playing in one location. The Birmingham Stallion, Houston Gamblers, New Orleans Breakers, and Tampa Bay Bandits comprise the southern section, while the northern section houses the Michigan Panthers, New Jersey Generals, Philadelphia Stars, and Pittsburgh Mullers. Each team will play a 10-match table, a semi-final between the top two teams in each division, and a championship match between the division winners. The USFL has multi-year agreements with NBC Sports and FOX Sports, establishing both networks as official broadcast partners, with plans to broadcast every game nationally on NBC, USA, Peacock, FOX and FS1.

Brian Woods, one of the league's founders, is the NFL's chief of football operations, and a former Dallas Cowboys and NFL longtime analyst on FOX, Daryl Johnston is the executive vice president of football operations. Mike Pereira, NFL Vice President in Charge, College Football Rules Analyst and FOX Sports Mike Pereira is the Executive Vice President of Commercial Operations.

The USFL is a new, independent football league that is controlled by FOX Sports through USFL HoldCo, LLC, a new commercial entity, and is not associated with or affiliated with the USFL in the 1980s or its owners.
