MILFORD, CT – The United States Basketball League, Inc. (USBL) will be well represented in the 20th Annual CBA All-Star Classic to be held on January 20th in Yakima, WA, as eight players with prior USBL experience have been chosen as All-Stars.

Representing the National squad will be Ronnie Fields of the Rockford Lightning. Fields, a member of the 2003 Eastern Division Champion Pennsylvania ValleyDawgs, is presently leading the CBA in scoring (26.4) and steals (3.4) and has the most points in a game this season (38). Joining Fields on the National Roster is Jimmy "Snap" Hunter, a member of the 2002 St. Louis Skyhawks, also of the Rockford Lightning. Dakota Wizards Head Coach Dave Joerger will coach Fields and Hunter. Joerger is the first Head Coach for the expansion Cedar Rapids River Raiders.

Making up the bulk of the American squad are six players that have played in the USBL. Four players are from the Gary Steelheads, who are assisted by Dodge City Legend Head Coach Dale Osbourne. Immanuel McElroy, who was a vital component of the 2003 USBL Champion Dodge City Legend, leads the CBA in field goal percentage (65.6%). Former Texas Rim Rockers Jermeil Rich and Leon Smith were also named to the team. Rich leads the CBA in assists (9.1) and is second in steals (3.2), while Smith is second in rebounding (9.8) and leads the CBA in blocks (1.8). The final Steelheads player on the roster is former Oklahoma Storm standout Galen Young. Joining the Steelheads on the National roster is former ValleyDawg Leonard White and 1992 USBL Player of the Year Roy Tarpley, both of the Sioux Falls Skyforce. Tarpley is currently tied with Smith for second in rebounding (9.8). Assisting National Head Coach Larry Krystkowiak is former Oklahoma Storm Head Coach Bryan Gates.

"With eight players and two coaches in the CBA All-Star Classic, this shows the level of competition that occurs in the USBL every single night during the season. This is a great honor for those selected to be involved in the CBA All-Star Classic. On behalf of the USBL and its member teams, I congratulate each player and coach on their accomplishments and wish them the best of luck in the Classic," stated USBL Founder and Commissioner Daniel T. Meisenheimer III.
