September 20, 2007 - American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release
Indianapolis, IN. A Pre-Season ABA Power Ranking poll is currently being conducted on USBasket. The poll is asking fans to vote for the pre-season favorite to win the 07-08 ABA Championship. The early vote has the Texas Tycoons leading with 40% of the vote (over 250 votes) with the Vermont Frost Heaves second, Beijing and Buffalo in third and fourth. According to the poll organizers, "The voting system keeps track of viewed sites so that there is a limit of one vote per computer." You can view the results and participate in the voting by visiting www.usbasket.com/aba/aba.asp.
The ABA has its own Power Ranking system to help determine the playoff seeding at the end of the season. According to Brad Hester, ABA VP of Team Operations, "We plan to begin our official ABA Power Rankings in Week #4 this season."
USBasket is a division of the Euro Basket Network which is the premiere scouting network for professional basketball in the world and its website exceeds a million hits per month worldwide. The voting process for the Pre-Season ABA Power Ranking will conclude with the opening game of the ABA season. Vote for your favorite team. For more information, visit www.abalive.com.
