Allentown, Pa. - The Philadelphia Force (14-6) return to ECTB Stadium on Wednesday July 9 to tangle with the Rockford Thunder in the first of a four-game set. Then later in the month, the Force host the Chicago Bandits in a rare, midweek series which runs from Monday, July 21 through Thursday, July 24. These two important series for the Force, as they continue their quest to secure a 2008 NPF playoff spot, will be highlighted by many great promotions for the fans such as Belle's Birthday Bash on the 24th.
The Rockford series will have a Coaches for a Cure theme.
Wednesday night will be Lehigh Valley Big Brothers Big Sisters night. All of the Force's proceeds from the 50/50 drawing will be given to the LVBBBS. Friday night will be Autism awareness night with the player passion being Ashley Smith. The 50/50 raffle will benefit The Autism Society of America, Lehigh Valley Chapter. On Saturday, the Battle of the Bats returns to Allentown. The home run derby style event will take place at around 6:20 p.m. prior to the game with the Thunder. The best home run hitters from both teams will be on display. Margo Pruis will be the player passion and the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric Aids Foundation will be the night's charitable organization.
On Monday, July 22, the Force welcome the Chicago Bandits to town. This will be the Family, Fun, and Fitness theme series. The first game of the series will be another college night where students who show their college IDs get special incentives at the gate. Katie Burkhart is the player passion for Monday, with Kristen Miller on Tuesday, and Coach Sabrina Lane on Wednesday night.
Then there is Belle's Birthday Bash which will be held on Thursday, July 24. The night will feature many mascots joining Belle in her 3rd Birthday Celebration including the Phillie Phanatic. Also before the game, the Force will hold Mascot Olympics which includes a parade of mascots as well a torch lightning ceremony. Fans are encouraged to come early and cheer on their favorite mascots as the mascots take part on on-field competitions.
