
United Football League Announces Hiring Of Jeff Friday & Aaron Miller

JACKSONVILLE, FL (September 9, 2009) - The United Football League announced today the hiring of Jeff Friday and Aaron Miller to oversee UFL's strength & conditioning and athletic training programs, respectively. UFL Training Camps officially begin September 13th in Orlando and Casa Grande, Arizona.
"Both Jeff and Aaron have had tremendous success training and conditioning professional football players," said UFL VP and GM Rick Mueller. "For each of their disciplines, they have devised comprehensive training programs that will assist our UFL players during camp and when the season kicks off officially October 1st."
Jeff Friday joins the UFL as Director of Strength & Conditioning and is responsible for designing and implementing strength training programs league- wide. Friday is the former Head Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Baltimore Ravens, holding the position for nine years. With more than 18 years of experience in training and developing college and professional athletes, Friday has implemented athletic development programs in several intercollegiate men's and women's sports that have allowed athletes to succeed at the highest levels. He has spent 12 seasons in the NFL and has been associated with teams that have made the playoffs seven times, including a Super Bowl Championship. Friday has trained more than 27 NFL Pro Bowl players. In 2000, Friday was named Professional Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Year by a vote of his peers in the Professional Football Strength and Conditioning Coaches Society. Friday is also the owner and head coach of ProShape Performance.
As Director of Athletic Training for the UFL, Aaron Miller is responsible for the care and prevention of athletic injuries for all of the UFL players. A former athletic trainer for both the New Orleans Saints and the San Diego Chargers, Miller has performed diagnostic analysis of athletic injuries occurred during off-season, conditioning, practices and games. He has designed rehabilitation programs that combined cardiovascular strength and endurance with strength training, speed and agility training.
Miller also designed supplemental programs to meet the needs of specific athletes that included lumbo-sacral strengthening, core strength and aquatic therapy. Once the official UFL season begins, Miller will serve as Head Athletic Trainer for the Florida Tuskers. For the past two years, Miller has served as Director of Operations for Velocity Sports Performance.
The United Football League is a new professional football league that will kick-off its "Premiere" season this October.
