Raiders Rout Rampage in Season Opener

The Raiders were very eager to get their first game started. With all the hard work the players had put in, they were ready to play as one unit. A high-powered offense led by QB Bj Hall, the Raiders were ready to put on a show.

After starting the game with an opening drive TD pass by QB Hall to RB Tyler Batts, the Raiders never looked back. The first half stand out was not on the offense, but on defense. Koreen Burch intercepted the Rampage 2 times and returned both for Touchdowns. Bj Hall completed 3 touchdowns in the first half and each running back scored a touchdown as well. The Raiders continued the 2nd half domination. Julius McClellan had an interception and fumble return for Touchdown. The offense didn't skip a beat either with Tyler Batts having 2 rushing touchdowns as well as Bj Hall threw another to TD Jason Harmon. Jason Harmon also was the special teams player of the game as he racked up 5 tackles on kick offs alone. The Raiders final score of 74 to 25 showed the dominance. "We fought all game and the players earned this win. Now we have to enjoy this shortly and prepare for the home opener against the Sarasota Thunder," commented coach Mink. "The team is starting to come together but we still have some room for improvement. We will get back to work and keep improving," commented General Manager Feddy Azofeifa.

The Missouri Monsters are pleased to announce the signing of veteran wide receiver Aric Evans. Evans finished the 2012 UIFL season as the leading receiver, and the top Receiver in the league since inception.

Having played against Aric the last two seasons, I am thrilled to be on the same team with him! Not only was he great on the field, but also he was heavily involved in community events for his team. We expect big things from Aric, and know he will be a major contributor to the Monsters organization.Said Monsters Owner Andrew Haines.

Week 2 Predictions

Missouri Monsters 65 Corpus Christi 57

With this being Missouri's first game as the Missouri Monsters, their first game of the season, and their home opener, I believe Missouri is going to come out and give their fans their money worth with some high scoring football with a big "W" at the end of regulation

Lakeland Raiders 73 Sarasota Thunder 20

And they just keep on rolling, after a huge win in their season opener, the Raiders' will be ready to come out and put on a big show for their fans, while Sarasota just tries to hang in there.
