UIF week three game summary

AT OMAHA 75, EVANSVILLE 34 - It was all Beef on a beautiful Sunday afternoon in Omaha, NE, as they toppled the BlueCats by 41 points in a 75-34 victory. The Beef move to 2-1 on the season and second place in the West Division and the BlueCats fall to 1-2. The Beef was led by QB, Chuck Wright, who converted on 8 of 12 passes for 113 yards and 3 TD's. Wright also had one rushing touchdown. Last weeks offensive player of the week, RJ Rollins, rushed for 2 touchdowns and totaled 105 yards total offense for the Beef. Defensively, Chris Eads led all players with 7.5 total tackles including one interception and one fumble recovery that he returned for a touchdown in the first half. Eads was also a player of the week for week 2. For the BlueCats, Dan Mettlach threw for 140 yards by completing 9 of 21 passes and 3 interceptions. Sean Bennett caught 3 passes for 93 yards and crossed the goal line twice in the loss to the Beef. Next week the Beef will travel to Lexington and Evansville to Bloomington.
