UFL Announces 'Day in the Life' Competition
June 16, 2010 - United Football League (UFL 1) News Release
JACKSONVILLE, FL, Wednesday, June 16, 2010 - The United Football League continues to push the boundaries of fan interaction by introducing a unique 'A Day In The Life' competition that will allow one lucky UFL fan to shadow Commissioner Michael Huyghue for a day.
The contest winner will be provided with relevant airfare and accommodation in a city where he or she and the Commissioner will then embark on a full day of league activities.
Fans are invited to submit their entries through the official UFL website at: http://www.ufl-football.com/adayinthelife, describing why they, above all other fans, should spend a day with Commissioner Huyghue and serve as 'Commissioner for a day'.
The winner will be called upon to help make decisions, share valuable input and participate in all meetings and activities held that day.
"So you think you have what it takes to be Commissioner for a day?" asked Commissioner Huyghue in a video message on UFL-Football.com. "Well, one deserving fan is going to have the opportunity to shadow me and see what it takes to run the United Football League.
"The winner will attend meetings, conference in on important calls and make a decision that will actually effect the outcome of the league. I have to warn you, our days are very long and are packed full with meetings, so you had better bring your A-game."
In addition to written entries, the UFL will also allow submissions accompanied by an entry form via YouTube and Vimeo for fans who prefer to film a video explaining why they should be 'Commissioner for a day'.
Terms and conditions are available at: http://www.ufl-football.com/termsandconditionsdayinthelife. All entrants must be aged 18 or older.
