United Football League Players of Week 8

Offense - Chris Greisen, QB, Florida Tuskers

Defense - Keiwan Ratliff, CB, Florida Tuskers

Special Teams - Fabrizio Scaccia, K, Sacramento Mountain Lions

From the bench to the honor roll - Greisen, a backup quarterback for the Tuskers since their inception, made a spectacular first UFL start at home against the Omaha Nighthawks and went 23-for-31 for 215 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in the 31-14 victory. Greisen also ran four times for another 25 yards.

"Everything came together," Griesen said after the game. "We started off with Coach Gruden's first 15 plays with high percentage passes and that allowed us to get the ball into our playmakers' hand. Sustaining drives - we hadn't been doing well on third downs and tonight we did."

Ratliff snagged a 29-yard interception return for a touchdown during the Tuskers' first home victory of the 2010 season that effectively ended the contest as his score opened a 28-point advantage in the third quarter. Florida's nickel back finished the game with six solo tackles and a pass breakup. Ratliff, at home in the Sunshine State as a former Florida Gator, is in his first UFL season after spending six years in the National Football League with the Cincinnati Bengals (2004-07), the Indianapolis Colts (2007-08) and Pittsburgh Steelers (2009).

Scaccia's 43-yard field goal with 1:32 left in regulation lifted the Mountain Lions to a 27-24 victory at the Las Vegas Locomotives, keeping Sacramento's championship game hopes alive. Scaccia also hit a 45-yard field goal and three extra points to contribute nine points to Sacramento's victory. Scaccia is in his first UFL season after playing six year of semi-pro football and a year in the revamped Arena Football League.
