The United Indoor Football Association (UIF) is pleased to announce that the Billings Outlaws and the River City (St. Louis, MO) Rage have officially been approved to join the UIF for the 2007 season. Both teams are established franchises and are making the move up to the UIF effective immediately.

The Billings Outlaws won their league championship in 2006 and had a regular season record of 13-1. The Outlaws just completed their sixth season of play and are excited about the move to the UIF. Majority Owner of the Outlaws, Mike Parnell, says "the entire organization is excited to be stepping up to the next level of indoor football. This is a great opportunity to be a part of a such a professional and respected league." Parnell also says he is looking forward to renewing old rivalries and joining a high quality, team-owned league.

The River City Rage also posted a 13-1 regular season record in 2006. The Rage lost at home in their league's semi-final game. The Rage is an incredible 24-7 over the last two seasons. Rage owner Tye Elliot says that the move is "extremely positive for Rage players, coaches, and fans." He says fans will benefit the most by a higher quality of play and a more geographically friendly schedule.

Both teams look to continue their winning ways on and off the turf in the UIF. UIF Executive Director Dakota Crow considers both teams to be great additions to the league. "I feel Billings and River City were the two best teams in indoor football outside of the UIF last season. We are honored to add them to our roster. Both teams have quality organizations from the top down. With a combined 26-2 record last season and a league National Championship under their belt, Billings and River City will both have an immediate impact on the UIF in 2007."

Crow goes on to say "this move helps to further solidify the UIF's place as the top indoor football league in the country. It's about quality teams and quality people in the UIF. We continue to work on being the best in the country at what we do. "

The UIF season runs from the mid-March to the United Bowl early August. For more information on the UIF and it's member teams please logon to www.unitedindoorfootball.com.
