FORT WAYNE, IN--- The Komets earned their second win of the best-of-seven series Monday night in front of 6.509 fans, beating the Generals by a final score of 2-1.

2010 Turner Cup LogoThe Generals opened up the scoring late in the first period after defenseman Jake Pence was credited with his first goal of the playoffs after Komet forward Justin Hodgman inadvertently put the puck in his own net after mishandling the rebound.

The Komets evened the score at the 13:22 mark of the second period after Flint netminder Rob Nolan made the initial stop on a Guy Dupuis shot, but Komet left wing Matt Syroczynski (6) knocked in the puck as it slowly trickled to Nolan's right. The goal was scored on Fort Wayne's first power play opportunity of the contest.

The game-winning tally was scored early in the third by Komet left wing P.C. Drouin (2) after forward Sean O'Connor slid the puck through the crease and Drouin backhanded it in stick side past Nolan.

Komet goaltender Nick Boucher earned his second win of the series, making 31 of 32 saves while Nolan make 34 of 36 saves in the loss.

Both teams will travel to Flint Wednesday for Game Three at 7:00 p.m. at Perani Arena.
