Omaha Beef News Release
Omaha, Nebraska - The Omaha Beef of the United indoor Football Association are pleased to announce that there has been a change in the date and time for the first open try-out for the upcoming 2007 season.
The try-out originally scheduled for Sat Dec. 9, 2006 has been rescheduled to January 29th, 2007 at the Center. This change was done to accommodate the presence of coaches from NFL-Europe and the AFL .
On-hand to help evaluate, observe, and test camp participants will be Steve Smith, Offensive Line Coach (Rhein Fire-NFL-Europe) and Paul Reinke, FB/LB and Special Teams Coach ( Georgia Force- AFL). The coaching staff believes this will be an excellent opportunity for camp participants to not only display their skills to the Omaha Beef but to other coaches whose organizations are also in the evaluating stages.
"Coach Miller and Coach Kerwin have definitely raised the bar on bringing in this joint combine. The combine/tryout will help set the infrastructure to a pipeline between the Beef and higher leagues such as AFL and NFL Europe. This is just the tip of the iceberg for what Miller and Kerwin are going to implement this season," says General Manager Dustin Talacko.
Fans are welcome to attend the tryout at no cost. Try Outs run from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm event at "The Center" which is located at 14706 Giles Rd in Omaha.
Season ticket renewal orders are still taking place. To get the same great seats as last year make sure to place your order by December 4th. New season ticket orders will be taken starting December 6th. If you would like more information on season tickets or directions to the try out please contact Jen Escobar at (402) 346-BEEF (2333).
