
Tornado Weekly: Three Home Games Highlight Thanksgiving Week

The Texas Tornado are gearing up for a very favorable stretch of home games the next two months. 10 out of the next 11 Tornado games are at home including three this week. It all begins on Wednesday, November 24th as the Tornado host the Amarillo Bulls at 7:30pm. It continues this weekend as the Tornado host the Corpus Christi IceRays on Saturday, November 27th at 7:30pm and Sunday, November 28th at 5:00pm. All games are at the Dr Pepper Arena in Frisco. Games can also be heard live at www.tornadohockey.com, in the arena at 88.9FM or viewed live at www.nahl.fasthockey.com .

This week when fans purchase a ticket to either the home game on Wednesday, November 24th or Saturday, November 27th they will receive a FREE ticket to the home game on Sunday, November 28th Tickets for all home games can be purchased by stopping by or calling the Tornado office at 972-335-9800, or online at www.tornadohockey.com .
Park Place Dealerships Tornado hat night this Saturday
Saturday, November 27th is Park Place Dealerships Tornado Hat Night. The first 2,000 fans will receive a FREE Tornado Hat upon entry. Prior to the game, the Tornado will also host an official Tailgating Party beginning at 4:00pm in the South parking lot between the parking garage and the baseball stadium. Following the game on Saturday will be a Skate with the Tornado players on-ice session.
Canned food drive this Wednesday
The Texas Tornado in cooperation with the North Texas Food Bank have announced a special promotion for the home game on Wednesday. All fans are asked to bring a canned good(s) to the home game on Wednesday for donation to the North Texas Food Bank. In return, fans will be given a ticket voucher for a free ticket to the Tornado home game on Friday, December 10th against the Topeka Roadrunners.
Tornado winning streak comes to an end
The third longest regular season winning streak in Texas Tornado history came to an end this past weekend as the Tornado were swept on the road in Topeka against the Roadrunners. Following a 5-4 win in Wichita Falls on Saturday night, the Tornado traveled to Topeka for a pair of games. On Friday night, the Tornado fell 5-3, snapping their 15-game winning streak and on Saturday, the Roadrunners defeated the Tornado 5-1. It was the first time all season the Tornado had lost back-to-back games in regulation.
Upcoming Tornado promotions
November 27 - Park Place Dealerships Tornado Hat Night. The first 2,000 fans will receive a FREE Texas Tornado hat courtesy of Park Place Dealerships.
December 11 - Military Appreciation Night. Players will wear military themed jerseys and a portion of the proceeds from the post-game jersey auction will benefit Snowball Express.
December 18 - Teddy Bear Toss. Bring your teddy bears to the game and toss them onto the ice when the Tornado score their first goal. All soft toys will be donated to local non-profit organizations.
