
Tornado to Visit Children's Medical Center

DALLAS - After making a pair of appearances at the Children's Medical Center in Plano earlier this month, the Texas Tornado will send representatives to visit Children's Medical Center in Dallas on Wednesday, September 28 at 10:00 a.m. Jack Prince, Tyler Rostenkowski, Taylor Herndon, and Marc Biggs will accompany members of the Tornado Siren Dancers and Ike the Polar Bear to visit the main campus of the two-hospital facility.
"We are thrilled at the opportunity to build on our partnership with Children's Medical Center during our 2011-12 season," Vice President of the Texas Tornado Ben Weber said. "Because of the hospital's mission, it is so rewarding for our young players to be able to visit with the patients, families, and staff at Children's. We are proud to be involved with a world-class hospital that is right here in our own community."
Children's Medical Center is private, not-for-profit, and is the seventh largest pediatric healthcare provider in the country with 559 licensed beds, two full-service campuses and 10 outpatient sites. Children's was the state's first pediatric hospital to achieve Level 1 Trauma status and is the only pediatric teaching facility in North Texas, affiliated with UT Southwestern Medical Center.
