1. THUNDER TO GIVE AWAY FREE T-SHIRTS AT HOME OPENER
ST. PAUL, Minn. (Friday, April 7, 2006) - The Minnesota Thunder will give away free T-shirts to the first 500 fans at the complimentary home opener on Sunday, April 23 against the Seattle Sounders at James Griffin Stadium. Kickoff is set for 3:05 p.m. with the gates opening at 2:00 p.m. The T-shirts, courtesy of Soccer USA, will have the complete 2006 Thunder schedule printed on the back. Admission to the game will be free to the public, as the Thunder is partnering with the United Way and Thunder P.L.U.S. to use the game as a charity event. Rather than pay for a ticket, fans are encouraged to donate money to these two non-profits.

2. ANNUAL SUPPORTERS SUMMIT TO BE HELD APRIL 11
The infamous Dark Clouds, a supporter group of the Minnesota Thunder & Lightning, will be holding its third annual Supporters Summit on Tuesday, April 11 at 7:00 p.m. Any and all fans are encouraged to attend. The event will be held at the Sweetwater Grille and Bar in the Kelly Inn near the State Capitol grounds. For more information, see www.blueskysoccer.com.

3. THUNDER WORLD CUP WATCH PARTIES BEING ORGANIZED
The Thunder will be organizing World Cup watch parties for fans to get together to watch the United States World Cup games beginning in June. Details are still being determined, but high-definition televised games, food, entertainment and player appearances are planned.

4. FIRST GAMEBREAKERS CAMP KICKS OFF MONDAY
The first Minnesota Thunder youth soccer camp of the 2006 season begins on Monday, April 10. GameBreakers camp is open to all U11 to U17 competitive players. One-on-one techniques, shooting, heading and goalkeeping techniques are some of the skills that will be focused on. The camp will be held from April 10-13 at Bielenberg Sports Complex in Woodbury, Minn. from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Players who are interested can still register over the weekend.
