Minnesota Thunder News Release

ST. PAUL, Minn. (Monday, February 2, 2004) – The Minnesota Thunder is offering a new fundraising opportunity geared at youth and high school teams. In an effort to maximize attendance at the Thunder Home-Opener in the Metrodome on April 25th, teams will receive $5 of every ticket they sell to this match against the Calgary Mustangs. All participants will be selling VIP Reserved seats (normally $15) for a reduced price of only $10 each.

"This is the perfect opportunity for teams to raise money to help pay for their uniforms, equipment, tournament fees, or even a year-end banquet or pizza party," said Djorn Buchholz, Sales & Marketing Manager for the Thunder. "MYSA teams raised over $2,500 last year and we want to see that number jump in 2004."

The ten youth and ten high school teams that sell the most tickets by April 12th will be recognized at halftime of the Metrodome home-opener in front of the Thunder crowd. The top teams will also receive a six-foot Party Sub from Subway.
