Thunder match at Stillwater High School on Tuesday

ST. PAUL, Minn. (Monday, August 09, 2004) - The Minnesota Thunder's match against the Vancouver Whitecaps on Tuesday, August 10 at 7 p.m. will be played at Stillwater High School located at 5701 Stillwater Blvd North in Stillwater, Minn.

The Thunder hosts the Whitecaps for the second time this season, winning the first match-up at home 1-0 on an overtime goal by Melvin Tarley. The Thunder traveled to Vancouver on May 7, losing 2-1 in double overtime. The Thunder will travel to Vancouver on August 19 for the fourth and final regular season battle between the two clubs. Both teams currently sit in playoff contention with Vancouver in second place in the Western Conference with 40 points, and the Thunder sitting in fourth place with 33 points.

SATURDAY'S MATCH MOVED TO GRIFFIN STADIUM

Due to the large crowd expected at the Thunder's final regular season home match of 2004, the Thunder has moved the Saturday, August 14 game against the Western Conference-leading Portland Timbers from Macalester College to James Griffin Stadium. Kick-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.

It's also Thunder camp reunion night where all participants in the 2004 Thunder Summer camps will receive a FREE ticket and discounted tickets for their family members on pre-sold tickets.
