Toronto Six News Release

TORONTO - The Toronto Six has announced a partnership with STÄRK Hockey, an up and coming hockey brand that provides high-quality custom apparel and equipment. STÄRK will equip the Six with custom sticks, pants, and gloves that Toronto will use in their inaugural NWHL season, as well as bags and off ice apparel for traveling to and from games.

"STÄRK was a natural partner," said Six President Digit Murphy. "They share our core values of inclusion and diversity by developing hockey equipment that caters products to all hockey players. We're excited to partner with a company that shares our passion for growing the women's game, and to sport STÄRK equipment on our quest for an Isobel Cup."

Founded by former research and development director for Warrior and VP of Sher-Wood Hockey, Michel Paul, STÄRK aims to provide quality and value to historically overcharged and underserved hockey players. The company has identified and solved issues in how the hockey market is failing female players, creating specific collections catered towards the different physiologies of customers - including women and girls. STÄRK announced a partnership with The Boston Pride in June, and the partnership with Toronto only further solidifies the equipment producer's commitment to supporting the growth of women's hockey.

"We are excited to join what the Six are building in Toronto," Paul said. "Partnering with the newest NWHL franchise in one of the biggest and most passionate hockey cities in the world offers us the opportunity to further our goal of creating unique and desirable equipment and to outfit the next wave of pro hockey players."

The Six will sport their newly released jerseys and STÄRK equipment when the NWHL season begins in January 2021.
