The Butler BlueSox (18-21) beat the Chillicothe Paints (18-20) 7-4 on Saturday at VA Memorial Stadium behind Dalton Hoiles, who had two extra base hits.

He singled in the fifth inning and doubled in the fourth and ninth innings.

Connor Coward pitched six innings and allowed one earned run, four hits and one walk while striking out four.

Dylan Jones got on base two times in the game for the Chillicothe Paints. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He homered in the second inning.

Kyle Zurak improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Butler BlueSox. Zurak struck out three, walked one and gave up no hits.

David Current (1-3) took the loss for the Chillicothe Paints. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
