the Chillicothe Paints Make the Most of 6 Hits in 5-4 Victory over the West Virginia Miners

The Chillicothe Paints (16-16) and the West Virginia Miners (18-14) both threatened with rallies, but it was the Chillicothe Paints that eventually took advantage of them in a 5-4 win at VA Memorial Stadium.

Nate Grys racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Chillicothe Paints. He homered in the fourth inning.

Tanner Allison handled the West Virginia Miners' lineup with ease, racking up 11 strikeouts. Allison allowed one earned run on five hits and one walk over six innings.

Dan Ward reached base three times. He also drove in one runner. He singled in the third inning and tripled in the sixth inning.

Bryce Arledge recorded his second win of the year for the Chillicothe Paints. He struck out none, walked one and surrendered no hits.

Brandon Stuckenschneider ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fourth loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run.
