SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - September 25, 2018 - The Alliance of American Football today unveiled the names, logos and color packages of its four western division teams. Alliance West will be comprised of the Arizona Hotshots, Salt Lake Stallions, San Antonio Commanders and San Diego Fleet.

"Last week we proudly released the names and logo packages of our Alliance East teams and the reception was absolutely electric across all four markets. We strongly believe that was due to the fans playing such a critical role in the selection process and working with each city to understand their suggestions and ideas," said Charlie Ebersol, founder and CEO, The Alliance. "Today we release the names and logos of our Alliance West teams with enthusiasm and pride as we give our final four teams their identity within our league. I can't wait to start seeing fans wearing their team colors and joining our Alliance."

Arizona Hotshots

The Arizona Hotshots pay tribute to the elite, highly-trained teams of firefighters organized by the United States Forest Service and other federal, state and county agencies that bravely battle the most serious wildland fires around the country. The Hotshots will have a profound appreciation for fearlessness, skill and honor and will selflessly play together as a team each week. The Arizona Hotshots colors are inspired by the uniforms worn by most hotshot crews -- forest green, orange and golden yellow, while the crossed axes are depicted as "pulaskis," a cutting and digging tool used by these heroic men and women.

Salt Lake Stallions

The name Stallions honors the spirit of the region and the rumbling presence of horsepower, inspired by the Bonneville Salt Flats where world land speed records have been set and

broken for decades. A stallion is a powerful, fast and muscular horse, reflective of the power and conditioning required of professional football players. The Salt Lake Stallions colors - sky blue, royal blue and silver - are inspired by the reflection of the vast blue sky off of the great salt lake and the silver tips of the Wasatch Mountains. The logo is inspired by car hood ornaments and automotive indicia that adorns some of history's fastest and most famous cars. Speed, power, performance and muscle -- this is the Salt Lake Stallions.

San Antonio Commanders

For over 300 years, San Antonio has had a constant military presence with one of the nation's largest active and retired military populations in the United States. The San Antonio Commanders honor the heroic leaders in the United States Air Force and United States Army who have dedicated their lives to service and sacrifice for this great country. The team colors feature maroon, a color used in the official city logo, silver, in reference to dress military swords carried by officers, and the familiar red of the Texas state flag. The shape of the logo is representative of a military patch and includes a depiction of the Alamo, a profound symbol for the city of San Antonio. The single star is a nod to the Lone Star state. The Commanders will make Military City, USA proud through teamwork, resolve, innovation, sacrifice and results.

San Diego Fleet

The San Diego Fleet pays homage to San Diego's strong and inspired Naval community. Unique to professional sports, the San Diego Fleet will wear colors representative of the city's bright yellow sunny skies and the gray tones of their iconic Navy ships. The shape of the team's logo resembles patches seen on Navy uniforms and the typography is inspired by the numbers commonly seen on the sides of Navy ships. With honor, integrity and firepower, the players and fans of the San Diego Fleet will bring the excitement and comradery each week as professional football returns to America's Finest City.
