Albany Empire News Release

The Albany Empire is thrilled to announce the addition of offensive line coach Sean Anthony Johnson!

Head Coach and General Manager Tom Menas had nothing but great things to say about Coach Johnson, "One of the things I enjoy most about coaching is when you can see and harvest young talent at this level. We have a great opportunity here to use what he [Johnson] has proven to be exceptional offensive line play. The Empire has nothing but the highest of expectations and admiration of what Coach Johnson has accomplished thus far."

Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Coach Johnson played offensive line at Erasmus Hall High School. He began his professional career with the Alabama Outlawz in the X-League from 2014 to 2016, and was a participant of the National Arena League's inaugural season in 2017.

His coaching career began in 2019 with the Cape Fear Heroes of the American Arena League. In his first season with the team, Johnson produced an all AAL offensive lineman, as well as a 7-3 record. This past season Coach Johnson filled the role of offensive line coach and player personnel recruiting coordinator.

The Albany Empire welcomes Coach Johnson and looks forward to working with him in the 2022 season.
