Texas Wildcatters News Release
BEAUMONT, TX (April 28, 2005) â The Texas Wildcatters announced today their plans for the 2005-2006 season, focusing on an initiative of reaching 1,000 season tickets.
"In light of recent reports concerning the future of the Texas Wildcatters, I want to make it clear today we are moving forward with plans for the 2005-2006 season," stated Wildcatters Owner Rick Adams. "We are working diligently to renew all of our loyal season ticket holders and grow this vital base of support for the team. Recently, several prominent area businesses purchased new season tickets in support of the Wildcatters and our significant community involvement in Southeast Texas."
The Texas Wildcatters' mission statement upon arrival in September 2002 was to become a part of the fabric of Southeast Texas. During the team's three years in Texas, the Wildcatters efforts have included:
· 5,000 hours of community service performed by Wildcatters staff and players, including visits to area schools, hospitals, businesses and charitable organizations/events such as Relay for Life, DESK, Habitat for Humanity, Adopt A Beach Cleanup, the March of Dimes Kickoff and other programs supporting area children.
· Donating over 200,000 tickets to area children through programs such as BASF's "Celebrate Success", Allen Samuels' "Skate and Educate", Little Caesar's "Read to Achieve" and the team's School Voucher Program.
· Investing over $3,000,000 to operate the ECHL membership in Southeast Texas. Ownership has reinvested 100% of team revenues back into the operation of the Wildcatters.
· Partnering with many area organizations such as Garth House, Buckner, the Southeast Texas Food Bank, the Red Cross and Boys' and Girls' Havens. These organizations, as well as local schools, churches and youth groups such as the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, all benefit from Wildcatters programs including teddy bear drives, food donations and other fundraising programs.
"These initiatives are a just a few examples of the many programs provided by the Texas Wildcatters that benefit Southeast Texas, " added Adams. "At a time when we are asking for the community's support in our drive for 1,000 season tickets, I want to make clear to Southeast Texas the contributions we have made over the past three years."
Season tickets for the 2005-2006 season are now on sale. You can reserve your seat for the third year of Wildcatters hockey with a deposit of just $75.00 (per seat). Season ticket holders enjoy the same great seats for all 36 home games without waiting in line at the box office. Expanded season ticket benefits are on tap for next season including free merchandise and more savings than ever before. In addition, free parking, merchandise discounts, a ticket exchange program and a meet and greet party with the team are some of the many returning benefits of being a season ticket holder.
