Texas Tornado Now Atop NAHL Standings

The Texas Tornado (10-2-3, 23 pts.) finally return home this weekend as they take on the Wenatchee Wild (WA) (10-3-0, 20 pts.) on Friday, October 29th and Saturday October 30th both at 7:30pm at the Dr Pepper Arena in Frisco. Texas sits in 1st place in the NAHL's South Division while Wenatchee occupies 1st place in the NAHL's West Division. The last time these two teams played was last season with Texas winning both games in Frisco, and Wenatchee winning both games in Wenatchee. Halloween weekend has plenty of fun for the family The Texas Tornado Hockey team, in cooperation with the Dr Pepper StarCenter's and Frisco Family Services, will team up for a night of trick-or-treating and Halloween fun as the Tornado host the family event during their home game against the Wenatchee Wild on Saturday, October 30th at the Dr Pepper Arena in Frisco at 7:30pm. It will cap a Tornado home weekend in which they also host Wenatchee the night before on Friday, October 29th at 7:30pm. All kids 12 and under that come dressed in a Halloween costume will receive FREE admission to the game. Trick-or-treat stations for the kids will be set-up all along the concourse and there will be a costume contest with great prizes during the game. Tickets for the game range between $10-$17 and can be purchased online at www.tornadohockey.com or by calling the Tornado office at 972-335-9800. The event benefits Frisco Family Services Center, a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide social services to individuals and families in need and assist them in becoming productive members of the Frisco community. All fans are asked to bring dry goods to the game (dry rice or dry beans) as a donation to the Frisco Family Services Center. In return for their donation, fans will receive a complimentary ticket voucher good for admission to the Tornado home game on Sunday, November 28th.

Tornado perfect in October with sweep of IceRays With a sweep of the Corpus Christi IceRays on the road this past weekend, the Texas Tornado moved into sole possession of 1st place in the NAHL's South Division. The Tornado also boast a league-best 23 points and have won an NAHL season-high eight games in a row. The Tornado have a perfect 8-0 record in the month of October, with seven of those wins coming on the road.

Upcoming Tornado promotions October 29 & 30 - Tornado Halloween Weekend. Pre-Game tailgate party in the South parking lot next to the baseball stadium beginning at 4:00pm. FREE admission to the October 30th home game vs. Wenatchee to all kids 12 and under dressed in a Halloween costume. Bring a dry good to the weekend games and receive a complimentary ticket voucher to the home game on Sunday, November 28th.

November 5 & 6 - Fight Against Childhood Cancer Weekend. Players have been paired with children who are fighting cancer and will wear special jerseys that feature the child's name as the Tornado host the Corpus Christi IceRays. A portion of the proceeds from the post-game jersey auction will help pay for treatment of uninsured children at Children's Medical Center in Dallas.
