Texas Tornado Home Game Tonight Cancelled

FRISCO, TEXAS - (February 4, 2011) - The Texas Tornado and the North American Hockey League have announced that tonight's Texas Tornado home game against the Wichita Falls Wildcats (NAHL Game #537) at the Dr Pepper Arena has been cancelled due to the current inclement weather and poor road conditions in the Frisco and surrounding Dallas/Ft. Worth areas. No make-up date has been announced. "For the safety of the players, fans and employees, we could not justify playing this game with the current weather conditions," said Head Coach Tony Curtale this morning in a statement.

Fans with tickets to tonight's February 4th home game against Wichita Falls may exchange them for comparable seats to any remaining Texas Tornado home game, or keep them and they will be honored during the yet to be announced make-up date. For any ticket exchanges and details, please call the Texas Tornado office at 972-335-9800.

As of press time the Texas Tornado road game at Wichita Falls on Saturday, February 5th is still on, however a final determination will be made Saturday morning.

The next Texas Tornado home game is scheduled for Saturday, February 12th at 7:30pm at the Dr Pepper Arena in Frisco against the Amarillo Bulls. It will be the annual Pink in the Rink Night for the Tornado benefitting Relay for Life, as they will play for the Flowers Cup. The Tornado will be wearing special pink jerseys that will be auctioned off following the game.
