We will be going in number order; yesterday we met Chase Di Bari and today we hear from Steven Mather. Come back tomorrow to hear from Sam Gilmore.  For links to all of the past Tauros 20 Questions look to the bottom of this page.
Steven Mather is not a stranger to the Maysa Arena, though only the most diehard of Tauros fans may remember him. Mather dressed in two games for the Tauros in February of 2013 as an affiliate player registering 4 shots on goal against the Coulee Region Chill. That summer the Tauros took Mather in the third round of the NAHL draft.
Since then Mather played the 2013/14 season for the NAPHL's Omaha Lancers and then last season he played in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League for the Neepawa Natives. In Neepawa Mather finished as the team's fifth leading scorer with 15 goals and nine assists in 59 games played. At 6'1" 185 lbs, the 1996 birth year Mather will add size to the Tauros forward corps for the next two seasons.
From the Coach's Office: Steven was a player we drafted a couple of years ago, and attended our main camp as a free agent this year. I was very happy with his development over the last couple of years, and he was very noticeable in every game he played during main camp. Steven is a big, strong, two way center that has a year of Junior A under his belt and he's a player that we expect to fill an important role with us this season. - Head Coach Marty Murray
