Tarpons Sweep Southern Conference Weekly Honors

ESTERO, FL - The 1st place Florida Tarpons (7-0) have swept the Southern Conference Weekly Awards.

Wide Receiver Wilfred Rivera won the Conquest Cards Offensive Player of the Week honor with 5 catches for 80 yards with 4 TD's.

Kicker Ross Gornall finished with another solid performance as he was 6 for 6 on extra points, and added an UNO for a total of 7 points. He won the Trophy Award Special Teams Player of the Week for the 6th straight time. Gornall has won the award 6 out of 7 games he played in.

Linebacker Tavares Woodley was named All-Star PR Cincinnati Defensive Player of the Week after he recovered 2 fumbles, returned one for a TD, and also added an INT.

The Florida Tarpons travel to Lakeland for the final game against the Raiders in the regular season next Monday May 14th.
