Florida Tarpons News Release
FORT MYERS, FL - The Florida Tarpons have added an experienced AFL and Former Naples High standout wide receiver in Cleannord Saintil.
Saintil (6-1, 190, Middle Tennessee State) adds tremendous depth to the wide receiver corps. He began his AFL career and spent two seasons (2007-08) with the San Jose SaberCats prior to joining the Tampa Bay Storm (2010). In Week 4 of 2008 he set a SaberCats record as he caught 18 passes for 217 yards and in the 2008 season finale he set another SaberCats record with seven touchdown receptions. In 21 games with the SaberCats he recorded 136 receptions for 1,684 yards and 42 touchdowns. In a short season with the Storm, he caught 15 passes for 190 yards, and added 5 touchdowns.
"Adding Saintil to the roster is such a great addition, his experience will help our young receivers" Said Head Coach Michael Taylor. "He will make our entire wide receivers better."
"I'm going to stay home and fill up the arena so all the fans can watch me play," Saintil said.
