Tampa Bay Vipers News Release

ROAD WARRIORS

Following a road loss to the New York Guardians in Week One, the Tampa Bay Vipers make the cross-country trek on a short week to battle Jim Zorn's Seattle Dragons. In total, the Vipers will travel 7,040 miles before playing their first home game at Raymond James Stadium on Feb. 22. The 7,040 miles traveled is by far the most of any team in the league through the first two weeks of the season, nearly tripling the total miles traveled of the next highest team (St. Louis - 2,436 miles).

MOVING THE CHAINS

Despite the outcome of Week One's contest against the Guardians, the Vipers paced the league in several categories when it comes to offensive and defensive efficiency. Tampa Bay finished the game with 394 yards of total offense, the most in the league through Week One. On the defensive side of the ball, the Vipers allowed just 226 yards of total offense, which is also tops in the league through the first week.
