Tampa Bay Storm to host Dance Team Auditions

Tampa - The Tampa Bay Storm announced auditions for the 2009 Tampa Bay Storm Dancers. The preliminary audition will be October 26th at the St. Pete Times Forum in Icons Restaurant with registration starting at noon.

Registration will be held from noon to 1 p.m. on Sunday, October 26th in Icons restaurant located on the fourth level at the St. Pete Times Forum. All dancers must enter through the Chrysler/Jeep entrance located next to Shots on the main plaza.

The final auditions will take place Thursday, October 30th at the St. Pete Times Forum on the Chrysler/Jeep Plaza stage beginning at 7 p.m. The final auditions are free and open to the public.

Interested dancers can pre-register online by visiting www.tampabaystorm.com. Download the proper forms and mail the forms, resume, photo and registration fee to: Tampa Bay Storm Dancers, c/o Hope Donnelly, 401 Channelside Drive, Tampa, FL, 33602. Checks should be made out to Tampa Bay Arena

In addition to tryouts, there will be a pre-audition workshop on Tuesday, October 20 from 7p.m. -10 p.m. at the Forum in Icons. The cost of the class is $25. The applicants attending the workshop will learn dance routines and techniques, audition tips, including hair and make-up and team commitments from veteran Storm Dancers.

Those who participate in the workshop will also receive $10 off the audition registration fee. Applicants should fill out the registration form and submit payment prior to October 20 to save a spot in the class.
