
Tampa Bay Storm Drop Opener To Orlando Predators

TAMPA BAY, FL - Quarterback Randy threw six touchdown passes, four of them to receiver Greg Carr, as the Orlando Predators spoiled Tampa Bay's opening-season Arena Football League game Friday, defeating the Storm, 76-25, at the Amalie Arena .
Before a Zumba Throwback crowd of 9,928, the Predators built a 34-13 halftime lead, then scored two touchdowns on turnovers in the first 2:05 of the third quarter for a 48-13 margin.
Hippeard, the former Storm quarterback, was 20 of 30 for 241 yards and Carr collected seven passes for game-leading 113 yards.
Newcomer Adam Kennedy, who played last season at New Orleans, started at quarterback and was 12 of 25 for 150 yards and three scores for Tampa Bay. Veteran T.T. Toliver had two touchdowns for the Storm .
The next home game at Amalie Arena for the Storm is against the Jacksonville Sharks on Friday, June 12. Kickoff for the ESPN News game is 7 p.m.
