Tampa Bay Gets First Road Win, 65-61

Pittsburgh -- The Power had the ball on the Storm four-yard line with 10 seconds to go and after three incomplete Andrico Hines passes the clock ran out on the Power giving the Storm its first road victory of the season and Tampa Bay's playoff chances alive.

Quarterback Stephen Wasil came into the game early in the second quarter to relieve starter Nick Hill, who left the game with an ankle injury, to lead the Storm to a victory in front of 4,154 fans at the Consol Energy Center. Wasill finished the game with 162 yards and five touchdowns in the air and another score on the ground with 36 seconds left on the clock to seal the victory.

Recently acquired wide receiver Joe Hills had a big game filling in for an injured Amarri Jackson as he led all receivers with 13 catches for 160 yards and four touchdowns. While Michael Lindsey added 152 yards on kick returns and caught eight passes for another 47 yards and two touchdowns.

PJ Berry, the AFL's leader in all-purpose yardage, had a big night for the Power as he recorded 242 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns, including one on the ground. Berry led the Power with 11 catches while Mike Washington accounted for another 10 with 126 yards and three scores. Quarterback Andrico Hines finished the game completing 28-of-41 passes for 310 yards and seven touchdowns. However he threw two interception in the second half including one to Lendy Holmes at the end of the third quarter.

The Tampa Bay Storm returns home the Tampa Bay Times Forum for the final home game of the season Saturday, July 14 against South Division rival New Orleans VooDoo. Kickoff is set for 7:30 and the first 5,000 fans will receive a Storm draw sting backpack compliments Bright House Sports Network.
