Syracuse Chiefs Announce 2015 Hot Stove Baseball Dinner Lineup

December 4, 2014 - International League (IL1)
Syracuse Mets News Release

The Syracuse Chiefs are proud to host the 55th annual Hot Stove Baseball Dinner on Friday, January 23rd at The Oncenter, beginning at 5:30 p.m. The night will include dinner, a silent auction, special guest speakers and autographs. In addition, parking for Hot Stove guests will be free in the parking garage located on the corner of South State Street and Adams Street. Ted and Amy from 93Q will be the hosts of the evening.

The special guest speaker of the event is the legendary professional baseball pitcher, Tommy John. John has 288 career victories, ranking seventh among left-handed pitchers in major league history. John played for the Cleveland Indians, the Chicago White Sox, the Los Angeles Dodgers, the New York Yankees, the California Angels, and the Oakland Athletics. Also in attendance at the dinner will be Billy Gardner, Jr., the 2014 International League Manager of the Year and manager of the 2014 International League North Division Champions, the Syracuse Chiefs.

"It was wonderful to sell out the event last year and this year we wanted to be able to make the night bigger, so we knew we needed a larger venue. We will be able to raise more money and give more back to the community by inviting more people to join us for this special evening. I think this is a great way to springboard the Chiefs into 2015 and get ready for another season of baseball and fun in Syracuse," said Jason Smorol, general manager.

Tickets for the Hot Stove are $55.00 for adults and $25.00 for children. Eight-person tables are available for $410.00 and ten-person tables are available for $520.00. All proceeds from the night will benefit the Syracuse Chiefs Charitable Foundation. In 2014 the Foundation donated to charitable organizations such as Challenger Baseball, Syracuse Boys and Girls Clubs, Joseph J. LaGuardia Benefit Trust, ALS Foundation, Carol M. Baldwin Foundation, Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital and many other programs and events. Sponsorship opportunities are available for any businesses interested in getting involved.

To order tickets or inquire about sponsorship opportunities, call the Chiefs office at 315-474-7833 or email tickets@syracusechiefs.com.
