Swarm Hosts Rochester Knighthawks In Rematch on Sunday at 5:00 PM

SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The Minnesota Swarm hosts the Rochester Knighthawks Sunday afternoon at 5:00 PM at Xcel Energy Center for the second time in as many weeks. The clubs meet last Saturday with Rochester coming away with a 12-6 win as the Swarm was held without a goal for 31:37 by Knighthawks goaltender Pat O'Toole and scored only twice in the second half. Rochester will visit Xcel Energy Center following a home game against Buffalo Saturday night. Last week it was the Swarm that was playing its second game in as many nights when it hosted the Knighthawks.

Minnesota (2-2) is still looking for its first home win of the season having won both of its games on the road this season. Tonight's game marks the fourth match against an East Division opponent for the Swarm this season. Minnesota is 1-2 against the East this year splitting a pair of games against Philadelphia to start the season, with each team winning on the road.

The Swarm is 2-2 in four lifetime meetings with the Knighthawks, including a 1-1 record at Xcel Energy Center. Rochester has won the last two meetings overall however, outscoring Minnesota 32-17. (20-11 win at Blue Cross Arena on 3/26/05 and a 12-6 win at Xcel Energy Center last weekend).

After failing to score a power play goal in its first two games of the season (0-for-8), Minnesota has scored three power play goals in each of its last two games (6-for-15, 40%). The club collected a league-high 62 power play goals last season, going 62-for-127 with the man advantage (48.8%).

Nick Patterson, the NLL Player of the Week for Week Four, is 2-0 with a 9.74 goals against average (GAA) and a .821 save percentage this season for Minnesota. He ranks fourth in the NLL in save percentage and fifth in GAA entering this weekend. Jamie Taylor leads the Swarm in scoring and ranks eighth in the NLL with 16 points (4-12=16) and tied for sixth with 12 assists. Brock Boyle ranks second in scoring amongst NLL defenseman with seven points (3-5=8). He ranked sixth in the NLL in goals by a defenseman last year with nine.

Shawn Williams leads Rochester in scoring with 19 points (7-12=19) and John Grant is second with 15 points (8-7=15). O'Toole is 2-1 and ranks second in the NLL with a 8.54 GAA and a .836 save percentage.
