Tampa Bay Strong Dogs News Release

HARLEM, USA - The Harlem Strong Dogs hosted a newly formed and fiesty Philadelphia Colonials team. The Strong Dogs seeking to stay undefeated under new management with their fourth win in a row experienced a see-saw, nip-and-tuck battle throughout the game and pulled it out with a three point victory in the end.

Former St. John's Redstorm, Willie Shaw led Harlem's scoring with 29 points on 10-16 shooting field goals while his teammates Obadiah Toppin contributed with 26 points with 10-12 free throws, Courtney Fields with 22 points and 16 rebounds, "Alimoe" with 21 points and 5 assists, DQ Stewart with 17 points on 7-10 shooting from the field. The Philadelphia Colonials were paced by Wayne Nelson's 35 points along with his five teammates also contributing double digit points.

The Harlem Strong Dogs are now 11-4 moving into sole possession of second place in the ABA's Blue (East) Division.

The Harlem Strong Dogs strive to continue their winning ways at home versus the same Philadelphia Colonials on Sunday, January 16, 2005 at 7pm.
