TAMPA BAY - The Five-Time World Champion Tampa Bay Storm have signed free agent lineman Steve White, General Manager and Head Coach Tim Marcum announced today.

White, a 6-foot-2, 270-pound lineman, played in the NFL for seven seasons. After being drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 6th round of the 1996 NFL Draft he signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and played defensive end for six seasons (1996-2001). He also played with the New York Jets in 2002. During his tenure in the NFL, White accumulated 70 tackles, 11.5 sacks and three forced fumbles in 94 games played.

White, 32, played college football at the University of Tennessee (1992-95) where he started at defensive end. The Memphis native is tied for the most quarterback pressures in a season in Tennessee history with 21 (1995). In 1995, he was named to the Southeastern Conference Academic Honor Roll with a 3.12 grade point average majoring in Psychology.
