
Storm Re-sign WR Terrill Shaw

TAMPA BAY - The five-time world champion Tampa Bay Storm have re-signed wide receiver Terrill Shaw to a two-year contract, Head Coach and General Manager Tim Marcum announced today.
Shaw, 6-foot-2, 260 pounds, is an eight-year Arena Football veteran who just completed his first season with the Storm. He led the team in receiving yards (1,411) and touchdowns (24) and finished second on the team with 101 receptions.
"Terrill really came on strong in the second half of the season," said Marcum. "He will be a big part of our offense next year."
His 1,411 receiving yards are tied for the second most in a single-season, the 101 receptions rank as the fifth most and the 24 touchdowns rank seventh. Shaw also had the highest single-game total of all the receivers in 2007 with his 181-yard effort against the Austin Wranglers in Week 17.
In 87 career games Shaw has caught 538 passes for 7,243 yards and 150 touchdowns. He has 34 career 100-yard receiving games 11th most all-time in the AFL.
The Tampa Bay Storm look forward to next season as many key players from 2007 will return. AFL Co-Rookie of the year and All-Rookie quarterback Brett Dietz, fullback Torrance Marshall and lineman Tim McGill, Marcus Owen and Tom Kaleita among others will be back to take the 2008 AFL season by storm.
