
Storm Drops Game in New Orleans, Lose to VooDoo 53-65

New Orleans, LA - The Tampa Bay Storm (6-9, 2-2) were defeated by the New Orleans VooDoo (3-12, 0-5) by a score of 53-65 at the Smoothie King Center on Saturday night in front of 5,887 VooDoo fans. The game extended the Storm's losing streak to three games.
The Storm offense was led by Jason Boltus who finished the night completing 31-of-44 passes for 306 yards and seven touchdowns. His top receiver was Phillip Barnett who caught 10 passes for 70 yards and two touchdowns.
The story of the night was two key fumbles recovered by the VooDoo on defense and special teams, resulting in 14-point swing in favor of New Orleans. The VooDoo would outscore the Storm 37-14 over the second and third quarters which proved too much to overcome for the Storm.

?- Storm wide receiver Tristan Purifoy caught his first catch in a Storm uniform, a 4-yard touchdown reception in the fourth quarter.
?- Storm rookie wide receiver Phillip Barnett led all Storm receivers with 10 catches for 70 yards and two touchdowns.
?- Storm rookie receiver Julius Gregory caught two touchdowns, extending his touchdown streak to 11 games.
o He finished the night with eight catches for 97 yards and two touchdowns.
?- Storm head coach Lawrence Samuels is 4-1 for his career versus the New Orleans VooDoo.
?- With his third catch in the first quarter Lake Gibson, FL native and VooDoo wide receiver Chris Duvalt became the first VooDoo player with 100+ receptions since Josh Bush and L.J. Castille did it in 2012.
?- VooDoo defensive back Cameron McGlenn set the New Orleans VooDoo career tackling record when he recorded his third tackle of the game during the second quarter.
?- The New Orleans VooDoo had its first winning third quarter since May 2 vs. Spokane (21-7) which was also the last VooDoo win.
