
Storm Activate Dickerson, Wiren and Penright

TAMPA BAY - The Five-Time World Champion Tampa Bay Storm have activated linemen Mondre Dickerson, Nyle Wiren and fullback/linebacker Jarrod Penright from injured reserve; and signed wide receiver/linebacker Mickey Peters from the practice squad, General Manager and Head Coach Tim Marcum announced today.
Dickerson, a 6-foot-4, 300-pound lineman from the University of Tennessee, is in his first Arena Football League campaign. He's suited up in four contests this season.
Wiren, a 6-2, 260-pound lineman, is a nine-year veteran of the AFL. He is the second leading sack leader in franchise history with 16. The Kansas State University graduate has played in seven games this season and has accumulated 12.5 tackles.
Penright, 25, will be suiting up in his seventh game this season. This season he is second on the team in rushing. He has carried the ball 12 times for 32 yards and three touchdowns. On defense, the Texas A&M graduate has made 10 stops and forced a fumble.
Peters, a wide receiver/linebacker from Texas Tech University, spent the 2005 season on the Storm practice squad. The Mineral Wells, TX native will be suiting up in the first AFL contest of his career.
The Storm have also placed wide receiver/linebacker Ronnie Daniels, defensive specialist Jeff Sanchez and lineman Greg Taplin on injured reserve. The three will be available to return on Saturday, April 15th against the Austin Wranglers.
The Storm return to action this Saturday night with their inaugural meeting with the Utah Blaze at 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the McDonald's Box Office at the St. Pete Times Forum, by calling 813.301.6600 or at www.tampabaystorm.com. Fans who can't make it to the game can catch all the action on the radio at 1250AM WHNZ with Jack Harris and Jason Dixon. The pre-game show can be heard starting at 7:15 p.m.
