Steel Fall 4-3 to Magicians

(Chippewa Falls, WI) - In the second game of this weekend series the Steel looked to rally back against the Minnesota Magicians. The Steel had a strong start creating lots of scoring chances early on, but he Magicians Luc Laylin opened the scoring for Minnesota. Steel's Ian Famulak answered with a goal of his own just under two minutes later. The Magicians would make it 2-1 before the period ended.

Chippewa had another strong effort in the second period but spent a lot of time shorthanded. After a big five-minute penalty kill Ian Famulak scored his second of the night on a nice pass by Connor McGrath. Later in the period Baker looked to have scored a goal but after review, it was ruled no goal. The period ended tied 2-2, with shots in favor of Minnesota 34-22.

Minnesota scored first in the third period but Ronayne quickly tied it back up at three early in the period. Assists went to Brown and Kerchoff. After a great powerplay chance and a shot off the pipe for the Steel, an unlucky bounce sent the Magicians McCabe on a breakaway and he made it 4-3 late in the third. The late goal by the Magicians would be the game winner.

Bylin made an impressive 46 saves on 50 shots.
