
Stealth Select Scott Ranger Seventh Overall

SAN JOSE - San Jose Stealth General Manager and Head Coach Johnny Mouradian selected forward Scott Ranger in the first round (seventh overall) of the 2003 NLL Entry Draft.
Ranger, 20, scored 97 points (43 goals, 54 assists), ranking him first in the league during the Summer of 2003 in 24 games with the Victoria Junior "A" Shamrocks. In addition, the five-foot-eleven, 185-pound forward is coming off a sensational 2002 season where he ranked second in Canada in points (118) and assists (56) and garnered the Top Scorer award presented by the league at the end of every season in Canadian Junior "A." Ranger was also a member of the '98, '99 and 2000 Canadian Field lacrosse champions.
Forward Kelly Hall, 23, was also selected in the first round (tenth overall) by the Stealth in the 2003 NLL Entry Draft. Last season, Hall recorded 43 points (17 goals, 26 assists) along with 83 penalty minutes in 18 games with the Victoria Shamrocks of the Western Lacrosse Association.
The Stealth picked eight players in this years NLL Entry Draft and acquired one player (Matt Ogelsby) in a trade of the 33rd selection in the draft to Colorado.
With the eight additions to the already full roster of 23 players, this years training camp at HP Pavilion at San Jose on Nov. 7-8 should be full of intensity as every player is trying to earn their spot on the final roster.
