
Statement Regarding Torry Epps

Tampa Bay Storm News Release
The following is an official statement from Tampa Bay Storm Head Coach and General Manager Tim Marcum in regard to the passing of Torry Epps, who played for the Storm from 2000-02:
"It is with heart-felt sadness and regret that we have learned of the passing of Torry Epps," Marcum said. "Torry was a beloved friend and teammate to his fellow players off the field and was a valiant competitor on it. On behalf of the Storm we express our deepest sorrows to his family, friends and those who held him dear."
Epps, 38, passed away yesterday from a blood clot. A Uniontown, Pennsylvania native, he played offensive and defensive lineman for the Storm from 2000-02. While with Tampa Bay, Epps was extremely involved with the Boys and Girls Club. He also played in the NFL from 1990-95 with Atlanta, Chicago and New Orleans.
